The four successful candidates, Dr WONG Sarah, Dr TSENG Felice, Mr LAI Peter and Ms KWAN Karen are about, thanks to the L'Oreal Scholarship, to commence their internship at Institut Pasteur, Paris. This wonderful opportuny will allow them to acquire professional and cultural experience in one of the biggest institute against emerging diseases in the word.
About the Scholarship:
The L’Oréal Scholarship for Research Internship was officially launched in 2012 by a tripartite partnership between the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, the HKU-Pasteur Research Pole and L’Oréal Hong Kong Limited. The L’Oréal Scholarship for Research Internship is the first-ever program designed to offer researchers from Hong Kong and Macau the unique opportunity to intern at the world famous French research institute.
The L’Oréal Scholarship for Research Internship will be offered to up to four postgraduate candidates that are permanent residents of Hong Kong and Macau. These awardees will demonstrate outstanding individual capabilities in scientific research and the desire to pursue doctoral or post-doctoral research studies in France.
Mr. Arnaud Barthélémy, Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, Prof. Roberto Bruzzone, Co-Director of The HKU–Pasteur Research Pole and Mr. Stephen Mosely, President and Managing Director of L’Oréal Hong Kong Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 21st September, 2012 to launch the ‘L’Oréal Scholarship for Research Internship’ in the presence of Mr. Eddie Ng, Secretary of Education of the HKSAR Government.
