The Institut Pasteur of Shanghai – Chinese Academy of Sciences (IPS-CAS) has inaugurated its new building in the center of Shanghai on the campus of the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences (SIBS) in presence of the President of the French Republic Mr François HOLLANDE on April 26, 2013.
The new offices of IPS-CAS funded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences will triple the physical size of the Institut with 16.000 square meters. It aims at recruiting seven new teams by 2015 in addition to the 23 existing research teams, and to be at the cutting edge of technology for R&D platforms.
Research activities of IPS-CAS concern the study of mechanisms, immune response and therapeutic strategy against infectious diseases.
