The course on "Surveillance of Influenza-like illness" will be co-organized by the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City, HKU-Pasteur Research Pole and the School of Public Health of the University of Hong Kong.
This course will discuss the rationale and purpose of surveillance of influenza-like illness, how to assess the burden of disease during epidemics, and how to use evidence-based data for forecasting and informing the public and policy makers.
The course is particularly intended for health personnel from countries in South East Asia involved in surveillance of respiratory diseases, wishing to keep pace with the most up-to-date approaches.
Interested candidates should download the application form and follow the guidelines. Please return the completed form, together with 1-2 letters of recommendation, to hku-pasteur@hku.hk. Selected candidates will be notified before the end of September and will receive an invitation letter together with details on local arrangements.
There are no registration fees and accommodation (on sharing-twin basis) will be provided to participants.
