An international team of epidemiologists from Australia, Singapore, USA and Vietnam trainees from all countries of South East Asia have gathered at Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City to discuss new approaches that are being implemented in public health surveillance an operational research of outbreaks. The workshop, which has been organized in scientific partnership with the Australian National University and with support from the Regional Scientific Cooperation Service of France (SCAC), was opened in the presence of M. Fabrice MAURIES, Consul General of France in Ho Chi Minh City, Professor Phan TRONG LAN, Director of Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City, and Professor Roberto BRUZZONE, Co-Director of HKU-Pasteur Research Pole.
