Meet Timothy at Sandrine ETIENNE-MANNEVILLE’s lab


He’s a PhD student supervised by Professor Maria LUNG from the Department of Clinical Oncology, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. Timothy is studying a candidate tumor suppressor gene, Fibulin-2 (FBLN2), in nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC). He has joined the Cell Polarity, Migration and Cancer Unit headed by Sandrine ETIENNE-MANEVILLE to work with Dr Jan HANISCH to examine the role of Rho GTPase in astrocyte migration.


Sponsored by L’Oréal Hong Kong and partnered with the HKU–Pasteur Research Centre and the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, the Scholarship aims at providing outstanding postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows and Hong Kong or Macau permanent residents with the opportunity of exposure to the research environment in France through participating in research work in laboratories of the Institut Pasteur, thereby better preparing them for future long-term professional development and career in scientific research.
