The International Network of Pasteur Institutes in Asia is organizing with Regional Emerging Diseases Intervention (REDI) Center an “Outbreak Investigation” course (May 31-June 4) for those in the health sector wishing to acquire knowledge and skills to coordinate and supervise rapid response teams involved in outbreak field investigations. The course is run in partnership with the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine – National University of Singapore and the Ministry of Health Singapore and is co-funded by US-CDC, REDI Center and the SISEA project. This training, should contribute to more effective control and prevention of disease outbreaks which are highly dependent on early detection, rapid on-site investigation and timely intervention. 43 selected participants from Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Lao, Singapore and Vietnam will be attending. The technical coaching of this course includes experts from European CDC, US-CDC office in Bangkok, WHO Country Offices, MoH Singapore, National University of Singapore and all Institutes of the Pasteur Network in Asia.
