Mr Simon YIP has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Hong Kong for his work entitled "Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus Infection of Human Immune Cells through Antibody-mediated Pathway" on June 27, 2011. He was a student during the HKU-Pasteur Virology course in 2005 and joined the Centre in May 2008. Dr YIP performed his PhD research work at the Centre, under the supervision of Dr Martial JAUME. Dr YIP published one scientific article (Jaume et al. 2011) and will start his postdoctoral fellowship at the HKU Department of Biochemistry this Summer.
