Professor Stewart Cole in Hong Kong to further collaboration between HKU and Institut Pasteur

HKU-Pasteur Research Pole had the great pleasure to welcome Professor Stewart Cole, President of Institut Pasteur, in its lab.


Greeted by Professor Roberto Bruzzone and Professor Malik Peiris, the two Co-Directors of the pole, he had the opportunity to meet and discuss with the group leaders, praising the quality of their work, their dynamism and their enthusiasm.

Professor Cole came to Hong Kong for the presentation of a joint HKU-Institut Pasteur project to the Inno@Health Committee that aims at expanding even further the scope of collaboration between the two institutions.


At the invitation of The Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau Alexandre Giorgini, he met Professor Xiang Zhang, President of the University of Hong Kong, at the Residence de France, where the commitment of the two institutions to work together through HKU-Pasteur Research Pole was reaffirmed.


To conclude his visit in Hong Kong, Professor Cole had a meeting with Mr Leo Kung, Chairman of the Pasteur Foundation Asia, to discuss the future of Institut Pasteur and its International Network in Asia.
