Regional Symposium on Emerging Infectious Diseases in Southeast Asia (11-12 March 2014, Phnom Penh,

The objective of the Symposium on Emerging Infectious Diseases in Southeast Asia is to foster collaborations between academic and clinical research on human and animal pathogens in the region and communication between research institutions, health structures and public health authorities. The Symposium will cover multidisciplinary research taking into account the diversity and flexibility of infectious agents, reservoirs, vectors and environment.


The two-day Symposium is organized by Institut Pasteur in Cambodia and the Ministry of Health, with a consortium of partners organized in AVIESAN (Institut Pasteur, INSERM, ANRS, IRD, AIRD, Fondation Mérieux, CIRAD, CNRS) that have supported the construction of a new Regional Platform for Research on Emerging Diseases, which will be inaugurated in Institut Pasteur in Cambodia on March 11 morning before the Symposium.
