Dr Roberto Bruzzone was invited to the first meeting of the Thematic Working Group 1 on Regional Integration and Infectious Diseases organized by ASEF and discussed the activities in the Asia-Pacific region of the International Network of Pasteur Institutes, with particular emphasis on the achievements of the SISEA project supported by a grant from the French Development Agency. The SISEA project was illustrated also by Dr Marco Liverani (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine) in his presentation as one example of regional networks active in Public Health.
