The Institut Pasteur in Montevideo celebrates its fifth anniversary

The Institut Pasteur in Montevideo, founded in 2006, celebrated on December 6, 2011 its fifth anniversary with the President of the Republic of Uruguay, José MUJICA, the Minister of Education and Culture, Ricardo EHRLICH, the Ambassador of France in Uruguay, Jean-Christophe POTTON and the first Executive Director of IP Montevideo and current Chairman of its Board, Guillermo DIGHIERO.


The Director of Institut Pasteur in Montevideo, Luis BARBEITO, commented on the technological and scientific advances of the Institute since its inception and presented its future flagship projects.


The Institut Pasteur in Montevideo is currently composed of nine technology platforms, 2 laboratories and 5 groups of young scientists. This is the first institute of the Institut Pasteur International Network present in a hispanic country.
