The "EMBO Workshop on the Operon Model and its Impact on Modern Molecular Biology" will be held at the Institut Pasteur May 17-20, 2011 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the publication of the Operon theory.
The speakers including 7 Nobel laureates will trace the influence of this discovery on the way molecular biology has progressed in the last half century.
A number of distinguished scientists will review our present knowledge on gene expression control, epigenetics, stem cells and development, cell growth and division and systems biology among others.
