On the behalf of HKU-Pasteur Research Pole, we thank Amadou Sall who had a full house for his seminar entitled: "Frontline Experience in Fighting Ebola virus disease in West Africa"on March 3, 2015.
Amadou shared his insight and ongoing work with researchers of the Institut Pasteur International Networks, as well as sociologists, anthropologists and epidemiologists on the Ebola virus outbreak, which has been responsible for almost 10,000 fatalities especially in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leonesince early 2014.
Amadou Sall, the Scientific Director at Institut Pasteur de Dakar, is Head of the Arboviruses and Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Unit and Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre and. He also established the international course on “Arboviruses and viral hemorrhagic fever: diagnosis, prevention, control and outbreak management” organised by Institut Pasteur Dakar in partnership with the "Association de Medecine Preventive", Ministry of Health of Senegal and Cheikh Anta Diop University.
