- Mid-term meeting, “High-Content High-Throughput Flow cytometry: Development of a multi-application technical platform” ACIP, Institut Pasteur Montevideo, Uruguay, October 8, 2008 - The mid-term meeting of the “High-Content High-Throughput Flow cytometry: Development of a multi-application technical platform” Action Concertée du Reeseau International des Insituts Pasteur (ACIP) was held at Institut Pasteur Montevideo on October 8. This ACIP aims at gathering the expertise of several teams within Pasteur Network for exploring the use of flow cytometry for HTS-HCS in the field of infectious diseases. The expected output of this two year project will be to:
1) develop an integrative platform for the screening of different class of biological interactors that could be chemical molecules (drug discovery), protein-protein interaction (molecular biology “interactome”) or sera (sero-diagnostic),
2) initiate the creation of a network of teams from Institut Pasteur that develop/use high-throughput approaches/technologies that may lead in long term to a new technical platform “Screenopole”.
Dr Jean-Michel Garcia attended this meeting and presented HKU-PRC’s activities and his work on “Pseudoviruses: a swiss army knife for virologist”.
