Building relationships with Macao University of Science and Technology and the Alliance Française of Macao

On 28–29 May 2026, Eric Deharo visited Macao to meet William Bascaule, Director of the Alliance Française, to discuss the organization of lectures and exhibitions. Proposed thematic areas include the microbiome and nutrition, biodiversity and zoonotic transmission, and exposomics and toxicology. Potential funding avenues in collaboration with Macanese universities were explored for implementation of these initiatives in 2027.

Additionally, with the supportive guidance of M. Hailson Yu, the co-director visited the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) to meet Prof. Chitin Hon and his team of the Research Center for Pandemic and Epidemic Prediction and Intelligence. A partnership was discussed, notably to organize a seminar in September 2026 entitled “When the ancient Toxicology world discovers the new Exposomic continent.” This meeting paves the way for a promising scientific collaboration between MUST and HKU-PRP.
