Dr KP Stephen Chang Gold Medal: Congratulations Ruopeng!

Dr Ruopeng Xie was awarded for the quality of his PhD research on phylodynamics in infectious disease. Ruopeng was previously awarded with the YS and Christabel Lung Postgraduate Scholarship 2022/23 and 2023/24, and benefitted from the HKU-Pasteur Fellowship with an internship at the Institut Pasteur in Paris in 2023.

The Dr KP Stephen Chang Gold Medal is awarded annually to a HKUMed candidate who has written the best PhD thesis in that academic year. The major selection criteria are originality, quality of presentation, and merit of the research work.
