Today has started the second week of our Cell Biology Course, "Intracellular Traffic in Health and Disease". Students will now focus on the role of vesicular transport and mechanical forces in cancer biology.
They attended the lectures of Pier Paolo Di Fiore from the Institute of Molecular Oncology, University of Milan, Italy (Endocytosis Signaling and Diseases (mostly cancer)) and Michael Sheetz from the Mechanobiology Institute, National University of Singapore (Mechanosensing Through Local Generation and Transduction of Forces).
They will also start to prepare the presentation of their work carried out during the practical workshop sessions.
