HKUMed Explores Future HKU–KCL Collaboration Through Alumni Exchange

Alicia Lui, Senior Manager in the Partnership and Engagement Deanery at HKUMed, visited HKU-PRP on Friday, 18 September 2026, for an exchange with Hogan Wai, a 2025 alumnus of the HKU–King’s College London (KCL) Joint PhD Programme.

KCL is one of HKUMed’s Strategic Institutional Partners. Currently, Alicia and her colleagues are exploring opportunities to support further collaboration between the two institutions. Given Hogan’s experience at both HKU and KCL, the discussion provided a chance to reflect on his experience in the Joint PhD Programme and the impact it has had on his academic and professional journey.

During the exchange, Hogan shared thoughtful and insightful reflections on the programme, highlighting the unique opportunities it offers and the lasting value it has brought to his research training and career development.
