Institut Pasteur Cambodia is looking for a new Postdoctoral Scientist

Institut Pasteur Cambodia seeks a motivated Postdoctoral Scientist to study adaptive immune responses during flavivirus infection in Institut Pasteur funded project. An Institut Pasteur funded postdoctoral position is available in the Immunology Unit of Dr. Tineke Cantaert at Institut Pasteur Cambodia to study adaptive immune responses during flavivirus infection. Our research is driven by the hypothesis that proper control of host adaptive immune responses are needed for a favorable clinical outcome during secondary flavivirus infection in humans. Appropriate cohort design and our location in a flavivirus endemic region enables us to explore new avenues of research. The researcher will be involved in molecular characterization of human B and T cell responses during flavivirus infection. The successful candidate holds a PhD in life science and has a strong track record in the analysis of human adaptive immune responses and substantial molecular biology experience. Expertise in NGS and/or immunosequencing data analysis is a prerequisite for this function. The Institute Pasteur Cambodia provides cutting edge biomedical research in bacteriology, virology, parasitology, immunology and epidemiology on pathogens endemic to South-East Asia. Institute Pasteur Cambodia is part of the Institut Pasteur International Network (IPIN), located in 26 countries on five continents, united by a shared mission to improve human health trough biomedical research. Present in numerous endemic areas, the network is a demonstrated fore player in identification and characterization of emerging infectious diseases. The successful candidate will be part of a team of international researchers and participate in international research programs in a highly competitive scientific environment. Our Unit has strong collaborations within the IPIN, hence, mobility of the candidate is a highly favored. The position is full time for minimum 2 years with the possibility of prolongation and will start March 2020. Salary is competitive to international standards and includes expatriate package. Please send your application via email with CV, motivation letter, a brief outline of previous research, and contact details of two references to Tineke Cantaert (tineke.cantaert@pasteur.fr).
