Sophie Valkenburg is looking for a Research Assistant I/II to join her team at the HKU-Pasteur Research Pole in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 500420) to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in medical sciences or a related discipline, with an established level of laboratory experience. They should have a good command of written and spoken English, and a strong sense of responsibility. They should be attentive to details and able to work independently. Knowledge of human blood processing is highly preferred. Experience in small animal handling and flow cytometry would be an advantage.
The appointee will assist in routine blood processing for a longitudinal study. He/She will manage inventory record, conduct independent serological and virological experiments (BSL2), provide technical support to team members in the laboratory, and perform administrative and other duties as assigned.
